This time little bit different
Ahoy Mateys! We are ready for the next episode of ArrrrCamp.
On Friday, April 30th, same place in Ghent, we will entertain you with our knowledge about Ruby, Rails and Radiant. The rum will ensure that, at the end of the day, you will entertain us.
There will be some big changes. During the barcamp part of the last edition, we've noticed we couldn't fill a whole afternoon with your talks. The talks were good, but there weren't enough talks.
This year we will drop the barcamp part, instead we'll do a call for papers. We will keep the two parallel tracks, one for the beginners and one for the more advanced coding.
So, all you mateys who have some genius to share, let us know! Simply send an email to talks@arrrrcamp.be with a subject and if it will be a beginner or an advanced track.

Rails 3, what's new - Anthony Heukmes
An overview of what is new in Rails 3.0
About the speaker
Anthony Heukmes discovered Ruby and Rails in 2007 and he never stopped using these technologies since then. At that time he was working as a Java developer but he quickly convinced his management to give Rails a try. It was a big challenge : Integrate Rails in a J2EE enterprise, full of legacy Oracle databases, Java formatted developers and Windows servers. Things went very well, development times were reduced and developers happiness was increased. This successful story decided Anthony to promote Ruby and Rails in our countries, that's why he signed a contract with Eyrolles to publish a book on Rails 3 in french. Anthony is now self-employed, he created his own company : IntoTheWeb. Their main activities are : web development using Ruby, Rails and Javascript and iPhone development. IntoTheWeb also offers trainings and consultancy missions.
